We partnered up with Prime Vice Studios again to do a livestream fundraiser on Whatnot. It was another successful fundraiser. A huge thank you, once again, to our Whatnot community for supporting our work! Take a look at some of the commissioned art in the video below:

On Wednesday, May 28th, Prime Vice Studios went live on WhatNot for the first time to raise funds for The Sid Foundation at the Syndicate Comics & Collectibles comic shop.
We began streaming without scheduling a show ahead of time just to test out WhatNot and learn how it works. The response from the WhatNot community was way bigger than we could have imagined! We began the #commissionsforacause livestream at 2pm. About 3 hours later, we raised over $200! A huge thank you to Syndicate Comics & Collectibles for the space and support. Thank you to everyone that stopped by and commissioned us on WhatNot. We received a warm welcome into this new community. We’ll be doing more fundraisers on WhatNot soon and will be scheduling shows ahead of time so you can plan to be there.   We had a great time celebrating The Sid Foundation's 10-year anniversary with our community! We planted a white oak tree in memory of Sid Vahal at our local park. Then, we had a tree planting party to celebrate! We are so grateful for everyone that participated in this event virtually and in person. Your support means everything to us. You're all invited to celebrate 10 great years with us! To celebrate 10 years of raising over $75,000 helping lung transplant patients and funding lung transplant research, we are planting a memorial tree for Sid Vahal. Why a Tree? By planting a tree, we can help our community breathe a little better and plant some roots for Sid's legacy. The park will maintain the tree forever so that Sid's memory can live forever. Where and When? The Tree Planting and the Tree Planting Party will take place on Friday, May 16th. We will provide more details about the event in the coming weeks. Follow us on Instagram or FB for more details about the event. How Can I Participate? You can participate in Sid's memorial tree planting in several ways: 1. You can attend the tree planting or the tree planting party on May 16th. 2. You can purchase a t-shirt of the tree planting event to help us fundraise. 3. You can donate to help us with the event. As always, we'll be at Syndicate Comics & Collectibles for Free Comic Book Day on May 3rd. We'll be in good company with other talented local artists. In celebration of the new year, we would like to recap our 2024 accomplishments and share our goals for 2025 with you. 2024 Accomplishments We had a very exciting year with many accomplishments.
2025 Goals We are aiming even higher for our goals for 2025.
We are excited to get to work on these goals and have full confidence that we can achieve them with your support. We're excited to share that we received the S&S Activewear grant again for the third year in a row! S&S has a great program that supports nonprofits like ours around the country by providing merchandise to support our work. This is the third time we've received this grant with up to $2000 in merchandise from S&S Activewear. They donated merchandise for our employees and volunteers such as hats, hoodies, and t-shirts. We are so grateful for their donation! Take a look at our previous S&S blog to see the merchandise they donated to us.   Tuesday, December 3rd is Giving Tuesday!
This Giving Tuesday, consider supporting lung transplant patients and lung transplant research by donating to our organization. Our charity is a registered 501(c)(3) so your donations will be tax deductible. We wish you all a happy holiday and giving season!  Our second annual Lung Girl Day was a blast! How It Went We spent time with our community, collected donations, sold comics, and got our crew of artists to participate in #commissionsforacause to raise funds with their art commissions. Sponsors In addition to Syndicate Comics & Collectibles and Prime Vice Studios, we were, once again, sponsored by Trader Joes! They donated tons of snacks and water bottles for our staff, volunteers, and visitors. Our branded clothing was sponsored by S&S Activewear who continue to donate merchandise to our nonprofit. Thank yous We want to give a HUGE thanks to our community for coming out and supporting us again! We want to thank Syndicate Comics & Collectibles for hosting us again, Prime Vice Studios for providing artists and commissions, and Trader Joes for the snacks.  Lung Girl Day is Back!
Lung Girl 👧🏾 works hard to keep us safe and help lung transplant patients. She deserves her own day. Join us again on Saturday, November 16th for Lung Girl Day at Syndicate Comics and Collectables. 2800 Canton Rd Marietta, GA 30066 We will be selling signed copies, doing giveaways and commissions, and spending time with our community all while raising funds and awareness for lung transplant research and patients.
