Sid's memorial tree is a whole year old and thriving! In May 2025, we celebrated The Sid Foundation's 10-year-anniversary by planting a memorial white oak tree in memory of Sid Vahal at our local park. This month, we celebrated one year of Sid's memorial tree. It's grown much taller and is full of leaves. Take a look at the pictures below to see the before and after. Fanfest 2026 was so much fun!
This was our 3rd Fanfest event. We got to meet so great many people in our community. We sold some Lung Girl comics and created new Lung Girl fans. We even got to give away a care package for a lung transplant patient! After that, we enjoyed a character design workshop by Prime Vice Studios. Thank you, Fanfest, for inviting us again! We're excited to announce that we will be back at Fanfest again this year!
We will be tabling, selling Lung Girl comics and merch, and have trivia and giveaways as always! We'll also be in great company with other local artists, performers, and vendors. It will be a great opportunity to mingle with our community. This event is FREE to the public. Join us on April 4th at Wire Park (1725 Electril Avenue) for a great time! We were invited to the Black History Month event at our local Ben Robertson Community Center on February 7th. This event featured an art gallery with local artists including our very own Creative Director Carlos Perez. They also hosted performances, local Black businesses, and local schools to bring the community together. We had wonderful time meeting members of our community and local artists and bringing Lung Girl to them. Thank you for the support! Take a look at his video to see how it went: If you weren't able to make it to the event and would like to support our mission, please donate below.
