November is Lung Cancer Awareness month!

This month we are sharing information all about Lung Cancer.
Lung cancer causes more deaths than any other type of cancer in the world.
Over 130,000 Americans die of lung cancer each year.

There are 2 types of lung cancer:
  • Small cell lung cancer is less common than non-small cell lung cancer and is mainly found in smokers.
  • Non-small cell lung cancer includes a variety of different types of cancers that aren’t small cell lung cancer.

The Good News
Luckily, due to lung cancer research, deaths from lung cancer have been decreasing in recent years. This is why we have Lung Cancer Awareness Month to help raise funds for lung cancer research. In some cases, having lung cancer can be fatal, but there is hope.

Often lung cancer patients need a lung transplant to live. To help lung transplant patients, please donate to The Sid Foundation today.
